A Classic Central Park Proposal in the Ramble


When Neema reached out about proposing to Yasmin, he knew he wanted the moment to feel unmistakably New York.


Central Park has such a timeless romantic energy, especially in the fall, and the overlook in the Ramble with the San Remo buildings rising behind the lake is one of the most iconic proposal spots in the city for a reason. In early November, the park was filled with peak fall color, and the entire afternoon felt incredibly cinematic from start to finish.


Neema proposed in the Ramble near the lake with the San Remo in the background, creating one of those classic Central Park moments that somehow never stops feeling magical no matter how many times I photograph there. Yasmin looked both excited and emotional the moment she realized what was happening. Their outfits also paired beautifully with the fall foliage around them, which made the entire gallery feel especially warm and cohesive.

Exploring Central Park After the Proposal


After Yasmin said yes, the two of them immediately relaxed into the excitement of the moment. One of my favorite things about photographing proposals is watching couples settle into the reality of being engaged. The nerves disappear, and suddenly everything shifts into joy, laughter, and just wanting to soak in every second together. That energy carried through the rest of the session perfectly.


We spent time wandering throughout the Ramble taking engagement portraits surrounded by all the fall color before making our way toward Bow Bridge and Bethesda Terrace for additional photos. Early November is one of my favorite times for Central Park sessions because the park still feels vibrant and colorful while also having that softer late-fall light that photographs beautifully. Every corner of the park seemed to glow that afternoon.

Capturing Their Joy Throughout the Park


Neema and Yasmin were incredibly sweet and playful together throughout the session. A lot of the afternoon was spent walking hand in hand, laughing together, and running around the park while I documented everything naturally. I always want proposal sessions to feel more like an experience than a formal photoshoot, and the two of them made that feel effortless.


Some of my favorite images came from the in-between moments while they wandered through the park together completely wrapped up in the excitement of the day. The combination of the golden fall leaves, classic Central Park architecture, and the energy between them created such a timeless New York feel throughout the gallery. Their proposal captured exactly what so many couples hope for when planning a Central Park engagement: romantic scenery, genuine emotion, and photos that feel connected to both their relationship and the city itself.
