Pierce & Gabriela's Pierson Park Proposal | Tarrytown Proposal Photographer
- Proposals
Some love stories have chapters. Neb and Alexis’s story? It’s already a whole novel—and the next chapter just began in Central Park, right in front of the iconic Bow Bridge.
Neb reached out to me ahead of their trip to New York City from Los Angeles. He was planning to propose to his girlfriend Alexis during their vacation and wanted it to be thoughtful, romantic, and personal. After hearing about their story and connection, I knew Bow Bridge in Central Park would be the perfect spot.
Neb and Alexis have known each other since senior year of high school. They started dating around the time college began, which also happened to be when Neb was serving in the military. Even with the challenges of long distance, they made it work for two years.
Then life shifted—Neb took another assignment, and they went their separate ways. But fate wasn’t done with them yet. After some time apart, they reconnected and have now been back together for two incredible years.
Their bond is strong, not just because of how long they’ve known each other, but because of everything they’ve navigated together—school, career changes, loss, growth, and dreams for the future. They’re both just 24 (turning 25 this May!), but you’d never guess it. As Neb told me, “People always say we don’t act our age because we’re so driven and focused.” Honestly? That drive showed up in how much care he put into planning this moment for Alexis.
We picked a quiet morning in March for the big moment. The weather was crisp but calm, and the Bow Bridge area had that quiet charm that only early spring mornings in NYC can offer. I arrived early to set up a heart of candles surrounded by fresh rose petals—a classic, romantic touch that added just the right amount of magic.
Alexis had no idea. She thought they were just taking a stroll through the park like any other sightseeing couple. But when they reached the setup in front of the bridge, and Neb dropped to one knee, everything changed. Her reaction was full of joy, surprise, and a little disbelief—in the best way.
One of my favorite things about Neb and Alexis is how sweet and playful they are together. They had such an easy chemistry the whole session—laughing, teasing, holding each other close like no one else in the park existed.
After the proposal, we wandered around Central Park for portraits, soaking in the excitement and that just-engaged energy. They were naturals in front of the camera—probably because they were just being themselves: joyful, relaxed, and completely in love.
We captured everything from wide-angle shots of the Bow Bridge and surrounding skyline to soft, romantic close-ups in the golden morning light. Their gallery feels like a little NYC love story in itself.
Central Park is one of the most iconic spots in New York City for a reason. With stunning views, historic bridges, and quiet trails, it’s the perfect place to pop the question—especially if you want a proposal that’s romantic, timeless, and a little bit magical.
As a NYC proposal photographer, I help with everything from choosing the location and coordinating timing to setting up meaningful details (like candles and flowers!) and capturing the moment candidly, so it feels exactly like you.
Whether you’re visiting from out of town like Neb and Alexis or you’re a local planning something unforgettable, I’d love to help you pull it off.
