One of the most special parts of being a photographer is getting to walk alongside couples during some of the biggest seasons of their lives. Suzanne and Brayan’s maternity session and baby shower were such a beautiful example of that, and I’m so excited to finally share their story. From iconic Brooklyn backdrops to the sweetest Disney-inspired baby shower, every part of this journey was full of heart.

A Fall Maternity Session in DUMBO, Brooklyn

For their maternity session, Suzanne and Brayan chose DUMBO as the backdrop. As Brooklyn residents, they wanted their photos to reflect this chapter of their lives and the place they call home while preparing to welcome their baby girl.


We met on a chilly Saturday morning on Water Street and made our way through the DUMBO waterfront, stopping at all the classic spots along the way. Even though it was busy (as DUMBO always is), we embraced the energy and captured so many beautiful moments.


Suzanne looked absolutely stunning in a deep maroon dress paired with brown heeled boots, total fall vibes. Brayan kept things classic and cozy in a white button-down, jeans, and a brown jacket. Together, they looked effortlessly stylish and perfectly in sync.

One of my favorite parts of the session was when they pulled out their baby girl announcement items: a tiny pink onesie, matching booties, and their sonogram. Those little details always make sessions feel extra special and personal.


We also made sure to stop by Jane’s Carousel, which was the perfect nod to Suzanne’s playful spirit and her love for all things Disney. It added such a whimsical, joyful feel to their photos. And while Brayan may not have been totally thrilled about photos at the beginning (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot 😉), by the end of the session, both he and Suzanne were laughing, relaxed, and having fun. They even told me afterward how much they enjoyed it, which is always one of my favorite things to hear!

A Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower in Huntington, Long Island

A few months later, I had the honor of photographing Suzanne’s baby shower, held at a cozy Italian restaurant near her parents’ home in Huntington, Long Island. The theme? Winnie the Pooh, of course. Suzanne literally works for Disney, so this was the most perfect fit. From the cake to the game cards to the décor, everything was thoughtfully styled with sweet Pooh details. It was charming, nostalgic, and so “Suzanne.”


Since the shower took place in December, the space was also decorated with both Christmas and Hanukkah touches, creating a warm, festive atmosphere that reflected their family traditions beautifully. The morning was filled with love, laughter, and so many meaningful moments. Family and close friends gathered to celebrate Suzanne and Brayan as they prepared to welcome their daughter, and it was clear how supported and cherished they are.


Honored to Capture This Chapter

From a breezy fall morning in DUMBO to a cozy winter baby shower on Long Island, Suzanne and Brayan’s journey to parenthood has been filled with so much joy, intention, and love. It was truly an honor to document both their maternity session and baby shower, and I’m so grateful they trusted me to capture these memories for them. Watching their story unfold, from Brooklyn streets to baby-themed celebrations, was incredibly special.


Suzanne and Brayan, thank you for letting me be part of this season in your lives. Your little girl is already so loved, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for your beautiful family.
