A Summer Outdoor Wedding in Connecticut
Brandi & Tim got married on a beautiful early summer day at The Hinterland, a newly opened barn-turned-venue in Avon, CT, and it was a wedding to remember! The Hinterland has the perfect rustic charm complete with an outdoor ceremony area, a barn flipped into a reception space, rolling hills, and a horse farm right on the property. Brandi and Tim thought that this country vibe matched their laidback, outdoorsy nature and it was the perfect size for their wedding filled with their extended families.
Brandi and Tim met on Bumble (like many modern couples) and they clicked quickly, as Tim recalled during his vows. The love between the two of them was apparent throughout the day, and it extended to their whole families. They included their children from their previous marriages as their bridal party - each with a daughter and a son around the same age. Their children were emotional during the ceremony, and you could tell they were happy for their parents to have found a new life partner. They also included their parents in their ceremony, and it was clear that family is an important value for them both.
After a lovely first dance, the party got going and it didn't stop! They really kicked around those cowboy boots with some line dancing, too! They also knew their rustic wedding would not be complete without some great barbecue, so they hired Mission BBQ to cater the event.
As a CT native, it was so fun to photograph this charming, barn-inspired wedding in CT and I hope I am back photographing at The Hinterland soon!
